“We Have to Stand Up”: Why Home Care Provider Rachel Terry’s Urging Care Workers to the Polls

Longtime home care provider and UDW political leader Rachel Terry wants every care worker to understand one thing: your vote can protect the IHSS program, child care, and the families who depend on it. “This upcoming primary, we have no choice but to get up and vote… Anytime there’s cuts, the first thing they come after is IHSS and Child Care.”

Rachel teaches her children and her community that voting is how we protect our families, our income, and our future. That’s why she’s urging care workers to vote for UDW‑endorsed candidates who understand caregiving and will fight to protect and strengthen IHSS and Child Care. Her message is simple: “Doing nothing in this election is not an option.”
