I attended a lobby day in Sacramento in June regarding our final pushes for our budget asks. I also attended the D2 Membership meeting at Santa Ann Zoo. Then in July, I traveled to SD to meet with members and toured our new office. Also, attended the CA Labor Federation (now the CA Federation of Labor Unions) Biennial Convention. I also attended an Advisory Council Meeting (on Improving Interactions between People with disabilities and law enforcement). Along with check signing throughout the month and additional participating in my duties as NVLF President (where I am a representative of UDW).

April 15th -16th – In Sacramento for the first Advisory Council on Interactions Between Law Enforcement & People w/Disabilities public meeting and a guest panelist at the CA Budget Center’s, Policy Insights Conference.
April 25th– swore in new D5 board members via zoom
April 30th– Special Executive Board Meeting
May 1st-2nd– in Sacramento for the Care Fest
May 13th– CLC meetings
May 16th– Elder and Disability Justice Coordinating Council Meeting
May 16th – D4 Membership Meeting in Madera
May 17th-19th – in San Diego for the CDP Executive Board Meeting and Chair the Labor Caucus
May 27th– NVLF Trustees meeting
May 28th – NVLF Annual Convention
